MEET REMINDER
Warm-ups for tomorrow's meet in Verona against Springfield begin at 5:00pm. Swimmer's should report to the pool for attendance at 4:45pm. The team usually meets and is encouraged to remain in the grassy area behind the lap lanes to ensure they are available for their event. Coaches will not search the pool deck for a swimmer whose event is approaching. Verona swimmers are NOT permitted in the pool during the meet except for their scheduled event and are encouraged to remain at the pool until the meet is over. The meet will start at 6:00pm and usually concludes between 8:00-8:30pm.

The line-up for tomorrow's meet will be posted later this evening. Parents are reminded to remain outside of the marshalling area set up directly behind the lap lanes and away from the official near the lifeguard stand. With swimmer's from both teams lining up for their events, officials, timers and coaches in this area it gets crowded and confusing for the swimmers - especially the younger ones. Our runners and timers need unrestricted access to the official so we can move the meet along. Your cooperation is GREATLY appreciated!!!

Swimmer's must be at practice tomorrow morning to be eligible to swim in the meet unless arrangements are made with the coach (veronawavescoach@gmail.com) in advance.

	WIDTH SWIMMERS Width swimmers should report to the diving well at 5:30pm. The width swim begins at approx 5:45pm.
	FILING CABINET We will no longer maintain individual family folders in the swim team filing cabinet. Swimmer's ribbons will be filed alphabetically by last name. Only those swimmers who placed first, second or third receive ribbons and swimmers should check the meet results before checking the folder. Width swimmers receive their participation ribbon immediately following their swim.
	MEET LOCATION CHANGE The North Jersey Swim League changed our meet locations for our meets vs Springfield. Thursday, July 3rd - HOME vs Springfield Thursday, July 24th - AWAY vs Springfield Our meet calendar is up to date.
	SWIM TEAM FOOD DRIVE The Verona Swim Team will be participating in the North Jersey Summer League *Swim For Food* to aid the Community Food Bank of NJ. We will be collecting food at our home meets: July 3, July 7, July 8 and July 15. Please bring non-perishable food items as suggested below. This food drive is open to all Verona community members. Please help us help the hungry. Suggestions: Apple or cranberry juice – cans of fruit Parmalat milk – cans of veggies Coffee/tea – cans of gravy – cereal Flour or baking mix – mayonnaise – rice Nuts – trail mix – raisins – sugar Salad dressing – jars of baby food Thank you for your generosity.
	FRIDAY, JULY 11 PRACTICE BACK ON Since our meet against Maplewood was moved up from July 17 to July 15, the coaches will hold practice on Friday, July 11.
	MEET SCHEDULE CHANGE Our meet vs. Maplewood originally scheduled Thursday, July 17 will now take place on Tuesday, July 15 at the Verona pool. The July calendar is up to date.
